Safegas Safegas was established to determine fire safety requirements at gas-supplied enterprises, regardless of their legal form, and to ensure compliance with these rules. Its work also includes identifying hazardous installations and equipment located and operated on enterprise premises for inclusion in the “List of Hazardous Facilities” approved by Resolution No. 94 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 10 May 2001, in accordance with the Law “On Technical Safety”; issuing expert opinions on whether gas projects comply with technical safety norms and rules under clause 2.4.1 of the “Rules for Conducting Technical Safety Expertise” approved by Resolution No. 67 of the Cabinet of Ministers; designing gas supply systems in compliance with these rules — the construction of gas pipelines and the installation of equipment in cities, towns and villages, on the premises of industrial, agricultural and municipal enterprises, in public and consumer service facilities and in residential buildings, which as a rule is carried out by specialised design organisations in accordance with the State Construction Norms of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other regulations; and checking that the ventilation ducts and chimneys of gas appliances installed in completed residential buildings and enterprises are complete and comply with the applicable regulatory and technical documents.
